Dr. Anita Bhavnani

Becoming an orthodontist was and always will be one of my greatest accomplishments and I consider myself lucky to honestly say “I love what I do.” Whether the purpose of treatment is to relieve pain, improve function or boost self-esteem, connecting with my patients and spending time with them during their smile journey is an extra bonus that has turned out to be my favorite part of my job. It is my goal for my patients to not only love their smile, but to have a great time achieving it.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling the world (I have been to over 16 countries and counting!), staying fit and trying new recipes in the kitchen. My husband, Raj, grew up in Anaheim Hills and graduated from El Rancho Middle School and Canyon High School. Years later, we are humbled and grateful to be a part of this same community.

Orthodontics means everything to me. I love creating beautiful smiles, not only because they are functional and healthy, but also because they will make a lifelong change in my patients’ self-esteem. I enjoy getting to know my patients on a personal level during their treatment. It makes me feel engaged with my community and everyone in it. I live here in Yorba Linda. My kids grew up here. Our family is part of this town.

I enjoy mountaineering, backpacking and hiking. I’ve led climbing teams to the summits of more than 480 peaks in the Sierra Nevadas, the Rockies, the Cascades and mountains in foreign countries. My greatest mountaineering achievements were climbing the Matterhorn in Switzerland, Aconcagua (the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere), and Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America.

In my three years as an Orthodontic treatment coordinator, I feel like the most enjoyable aspect of my job is providing families with the knowledge they need to move forward and obtain the smile they have always wanted. In my spare time I tend to my small flower garden and spend time with my family.
